Mark Hampton

Mark grew up in a Jazz inspired family. Saturday mornings the house was filled with the sound of jazz. Saturday chores were done under the influence of Joe Sample Ahmad Jamal, George Benson, Ron Carter and many more.  Marks original instrument was drums because his brother David (Bass player for Rick James) and his brother Chucky (guitar player for Kenny Logins) had already secured those instruments.  Later Mark would switch to bass and never look back! Mark is prolific sound writer and multi-instrumentalist and producer with rich bass lines that simply groove! With Synergy Mark doesn't play bass notes, he plays earthy rich bass lines that groove.
